As famous as The Man in Black himself, the original Martin D35 was built specifically for Johnny Cash and was the first black finish guitar C.F. Martin III released and without his knowledge. This recreation of the original is built painstakingly to nearly exact specifications. The solid East Indian rosewood back and sides combined with the solid Engelmann spruce top to produce a round and bright tone that can only be described as heavenly. This 25.4 inch scale length beauty features a Johnny Cash signature at the 12th fret and the interior label is signed by CFM IV & John Carter Cash. This is a beautiful re-creation of modern history. Each guitar is numbered in sequence. Man in Black hardshell case with black plush interior is included.
