Moog Music EP2 Expression Pedal

No longer available at zZounds
Express yourself with this pedal from Moog, which includes an output level control to adjust the range of its effects.

The EP2 Expression Pedal designed by Moog is the finest expression pedal available. Its smooth action gives it the feel musicians need for precise, playable control.

The heavy construction (2.55 lbs) provides a solid feel as the pedal stays firmly under-foot. An external output level control adjusts the range of the pedal's effect; sweeping across the full or a limited spectrum.

"Moog EP2 attenuator control..."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Just purchased one of these as it looked like a cheaper alternative to a Roland EV5 pedal. The quality of the pedal seems good but unfortunately it's not very useful to me as the attenuator control knob on the side has a strange function - it allows you to set the maximum output as being less than 100%, rather than the minimum being more then zero like the EV5.I wanted to use the pedal for volume/swell, but since when I'm gigging I normally want use max volume and sometimes want to go a little bit lower, it's much more useful to have a control to set the minimum value higher than zero and keep your maximum. So I've sadly had to send the Moog EP2 back for a refund and will probably end up getting a second Roland EV5 - I'll have to put some coloured tape on one of them so avoid confusion!I guess the Moog pedal probably has some useful functions for synth controls etc but just beware it's not an ideal volume pedal...
