This unit did not impress me as much as the little phaser model but for the money it is OK. I am sure some of the pedals in this series are great like the phaser and some are not so great. Read on for details.

Sound
I am using this pedal after my X4 in my loop and I found the "room" preset pretty stale and unnatural sounding, pretty hard and not a pleasing reverb. "Spring" was pretty much the same for me, I normally do not care much for the "classic" spring reverbs myself. This mode seems to bounce back a repeat I did not care for. The Shimmer is obviously the meant for mode on this pedal and it does that reasonably well., not great/ I had to keep the mix down it quite a bit to be more musically useful. I also noticed when I pulled my X4 out the little unit seemed to not be able to handle the loop signal well, breaking up, seems it needs a pedal in front to buffer the signal from hitting it too hard.

Features
Easy to use as are all these small Mooer series of pedals. Each has a mode or three which is cool. I suspect some of them are great like the phaser or overdrive and others not so much. The Shimverb is a not so much for my tastes.

Ease of Use
Simple as it gets. Most are one knob and mode switch.

Quality
Build seems to be OK, I mean for the money t I do not know how they manage it. Some are great, this one seemed to want to break up in my straight read more loop which other pedals pose no issue.

Value
Great value, you have to figure out which ones in this series are good, apparently not all are amazing.

Manufacturer Support
no idea

The Wow Factor
The shimmer type reverb is interesting, sort of like the Octaverb on the POD reverbs. Can do some weird trail things on some tones. You have to keep the level down on this one or the reverb sounds too unnatural and stale.

Musical Background:
decades, retired from live gigs

Musical Style:
heavy fusion, anything but country
