Build your home studio with 4 XLR-1/4" mic/line/Hi-Z inputs, TRS inserts on each channel, 4 line outputs plus headphone output, MIDI I/O and 3 USB hub ports.

Elevate your workspace from project to professional status with the M-Audio M-Track Quad. The four-channel USB audio interface puts phantom-powered XLR mic/line/instrument inputs, MIDI I/O, zero-latency monitoring, USB hub ports, bundled software, and much more at your fingertips, giving you easy ways to work with anything from phantom-powered microphones to electric guitars to vocals, with effects or without. A single USB cable provides power and a connection to a computer, while three USB hubs give you more ways to add devices to your setup, making the M-Track Quad the ultimate portable, professional interface for your home studio.

4x4 Interfacing: Plenty of I/O, Plus TRS Inserts

The M-Track Quad's four inputs give you ample room to work with a handful of audio sources. On each of the four channels, you have an XLR input with a 48V phantom power switch for working with microphones or low-impedance sources, a balanced 1/4-inch input with level switching for working with line level instruments or for plugging in electric guitars or basses directly to the M-Track Quad, and an insert jack for hooking up outboard gear or effects. Set your levels with a turn of the gain knob.

This USB audio interface also supports 16 channels of MIDI data and timing information, so you can work with keyboards and MIDI controllers, too. Its MIDI In/Out jacks are compatible with all MIDI equipment.

Stereo/Mono Switch: Monitor Your Way to Better Recordings

Want straight-forward, read more low-latency monitoring options? Here you go. M-Audio's M-Track Quad makes it easy to monitor with either speakers or headphones, in your choice of stereo or mono using the Stereo/Mono switch. The Headphone output conveniently offers its own level control, and a handy monitor mix knob helps you adjust the balance between the direct inputs and the playback from your computer software.

USB: Your Audio/MIDI Lifeline + 3-Port USB Hub

One USB cable is all it takes to send and receive audio and MIDI data with your computer. The audio interface also doubles as a powered three-port USB hub, which you can use to connect your USB controller keyboard, pad controller, and other USB devices directly to the M-Track Quad.

M-Audio M-Track Quad USB Audio Interface

Add a professional edge to your project studio with the M-Track Quad from M-Audio. Four flexible inputs accommodate any source, from phantom-powered microphones to your favorite guitar. Plus, each input comes equipped with its own insert jack for integrating your favorite effects. M-Track Quad provides zero-latency monitoring of the input signal for carefree recording. Four outputs deliver versatile playback options. The front panel also offers a headphone output with dedicated level control. In addition to outstanding audio performance, M-Track Quad also features MIDI in and out jacks. M-Track Quad connects to your computer via USB and also acts as a powered hub with three additional USB ports. Completing this powerful package is the Ignite by AIR. Delivering a comprehensive path for transforming the ideas in your head into a finished piece of music.

On the Four Front

M-Track Quad is equipped with four inputs that provide the best results with any type of audio source. Each offers an XLR input and a balanced 1/4" input. The XLR input is designed to work with microphones or other Lo-Z sources. The phantom power switch delivers 48V to the XLR inputs for use with professional condenser microphones. The 1/4" input can be set to receive a line level signal, or switched to allow an electric guitar or bass to be plugged directly into the M-Track Quad. Individual gain knobs ensure the proper input level.

Inserts

Each input channel is also equipped with an insert jack, a professional addition not often found in this class of interface. The insert jack allows studio-grade effects to be used with any input source as you record.

Improved Monitoring for Better Recordings

M-Track Quad offers ultra-low latency monitoring of the input signal -- either through the speakers or via headphones. The monitor mix knob adjusts the balance between the direct inputs and the playback from your computer software. In addition, the input signal(s) can be monitored in stereo or mono using the convenient Stereo/Mono switch. This makes it easy to record parts or add parts to an existing composition. The Headphone output offers its own level control.

MIDI Matters

In addition to the two audio channels, M-Track Quad also supports 16 channels of MIDI data and timing information. The MIDI In and MIDI out jacks are compatible with all MIDI equipment.

USB Central

M-Track Quad uses a single USB cable to create a two-way audio and MIDI connection with your computer. Best of all, the M-Track Quad also serves as a powered USB Hub. Connect your USB controller keyboard, pad controller, and other USB devices directly to your M-Track Quad for a convenient, single cable computer connection.

Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Out of the box it was a solid construction and it was easy to read the directions to start recording on my new interface. I used a seperate recording software because I bought my interface used so the software that came with it was unusable, but it records like a dream! I'd recommend this to anyone wanting studio quality sound in their recordings! (:

Musical Background:
