Description
Mapex has introduced an exciting new special edition VX Series drum set that is sure to attract the attention of any drum player and especially any one in the audience. The new “Black on Black” set is a new six-piece, two-up, two-down configuration that features polished black lacquer shells outfitted with flat black lugs, hoops and fittings. The shells are 8-ply hybrid shells made of a combination of basswood and maple woods.
The VX series was reintroduced in 2007 by Mapex and has enjoyed a robust rebirth thanks to a new series of popular lacquer finishes and many appointments, such as ITS mounts, not typically found on drum sets in its price range. VX Series shells are made using premium basswood plies that feature outstanding tone and resonance.
