The Mapex Mars Crossover drum set delivers power and clarity thanks to its 6-ply birch shells with SONIClear bearing edge and unique configuration.

The Mars drum set offers 100% Birch, shallow depth shells with the SONIClear(TM) bearing edge, producing a fast, clear tone with a quick rebound. The Mars Series Crossover features a 1 up and 2 down configuration that is ideal for players who want a powerful rock sound with a single rack tom for closer positioning of their ride cymbal.

The Birch 6Ply 7.2mm shell, with the new SONIClear(TM) Bearing Edge, allows for the direct transmission of sound, reduces unwanted frequencies and provides a strong fundamental pitch and an effortless tuning experience especially at lower tunings.

The SONIClear(TM) tom suspension and floor tom feet increase overall resonance by preserving vibration in the shell and keeping stress away from the tension rods, helping the heads stay in tune.

Absolutely love the bearing edge, tuning is fast and easy. Looks great and sounds amazing. Toms have a nice big sound to them. Hardware is definitely sturdy and strong.

Musical Background:

Been playing drums for 30+ years. David Bowie tribute band Diamond Dogs, and two other cover bands.

Musical Style:

Classic to current rock with current bands, but have played all styles.
