Extensive Presets and Mixing Tools

Like the rest of the DLM series, the DLM8 comes with wide range of presets and mixing options. Two individual TRS/XLR combo inputs can accommodate microphones and instruments, while a stereo RCA input can accept MP3 players and other devices. Both channels are controllable via the intuitive DL2 digital mixer, which comes stocked with three-band EQ on each channel, multi-band feedback suppression, and 16 gig-ready DSP effects. For even further versatility, the DLM8 features six different speaker modes including 'soloist' mode for singer-songwriters, a 'DJ' mode, and more. Each mode accentuates the right frequencies to bring out the best of your sound, and all settings are savable in one of three preset memory locations.

TruSource Driver Technology

The DLM8 uses Mackie's TrueSource driver alignment technology to align a 1.75-inch… read more compression driver and 8-inch woofer into a single vertical column. The result is increased efficiency, reduced weight and size of the entire enclosure, and enhanced fidelity throughout the 65 Hz - 20 kHz frequency range. By focusing all sound to a single point, TruSource technology eliminates the overlap and fidelity loss that sometimes comes with traditional 2-way systems.

Easy Portability and Versatile Setup Options

Coming in a full third smaller than most comparable powered speakers, the DLM8 strikes a remarkable balance of performance or portability. With a total weight of just 21.4 lbs (9.7 kg), the DLM8 is easily movable with a ergonomic carrying handle. Also included is M10 hardware for installation, a standard pole mount socket, and kickstand for use as a title floor monitor. If used with other DLM speakers, the DLM8 can incorporate up to 300ms of alignment delay to compensate for varied distances.

"Ultra Compact Powered Speaker from Mackie"

This little beast is amazing. They are killer, as either a full-range main, or a floor wedge. Unique, compact design, tons of power and a built-in digital mixer. You can also run them with the DLM12S Subs for extended bottom-end. Get two of each and a DL1608 Digital Mixer for a totally killer PA - mains, wedges and wireless mixing... Awesome.
