Process two independent signal paths through over 100 stackable effects and rich, dynamic HD amp models -- only with the POD HD Pro X rackmount processor.

Today's guitar multieffects processors have to do a bit of everything -- sound sculpting, recording options, and easy interfaces are just the tip of the iceberg. Line 6 has worked these features and more into its Pod HD Pro X rackmount processor, without losing sight of the sonic fidelity that made the original Pod HD Pro such a hit with gigging guitarists. This X model upgrades the CPU, so it's got tons of processing power for tapping into tons of detailed amp models and effects.

A True Arsenal of Tones

If you're looking to recreate the sound of a beloved tube amp or crank the gain on a modern metal machine, you can do so with the turn of a knob on the Pod HD Pro X. The processor's 22 HD amp models go far beyond EQ and volume tweaking -- you can adjust subtle parameters like bias, bias excursion, hum, and sag, making truly unique sonic palettes possible.

For the full rack processor experience, pair your amp sounds with your choices from the Pod HD Pro X's 100+ studio and stomp effects. Up to eight effects can be engaged in any order thanks to dynamic digital signal processing and an optional Line 6 foot controller makes switching between effects a breeze.

Dual Signal Paths Expand Possibilities

The layered sounds heard on recordings by guitar gods are often the result of engineers using multiple signal paths in the studio. The Pod HD Pro X puts those tools at your fingertips, letting you run your guitar's signal through two completely independent sets of amp models read more and effects for rich live sounds or professional-sounding recordings.

The Right I/O for Any Live or Studio Setup

Line 6 made sure that players who want to use the HD Pro X to record are covered. The Pod HD Pro X boasts balanced XLR left and right outputs, switchable between line-level and mic-level, along with unbalanced 1/4" outputs to plug into your amp. If you've got a Line 6 DT sereis amp, you'll appreciate that the AES/EBU output jack doubles as an L6 Link XLR jack just for that purpose. On the back panel, you'll also find stereo FX send and return jacks -- in case there's an effect your Pod HD Pro X doesn't offer -- along with MIDI I/O, AES/EBU and S/DIF digital I/O, and even an input for Line 6 Variax guitars. A Dry Out jack passes your unprocessed guitar signal through, so you can record your raw sound for re-amping later. And there's a dedicated USB output, so you can send your sound directly into your DAW with no additional steps of A/D conversion.

For hands-free control over preset switching, effects, volume and looper functions, simply connect a Line 6 FBV Shortboard MkII foot controller to your POD HD Pro X.

More Processing Power, More Creativity

With unparalleled flexibility and more processing power than anything in its class, POD HD Pro X is built for tone creation. To start, it features dynamic DSP, so you have the freedom to stack the effects you want wherever you want them. And compared to its predecessor, POD HD Pro X lets you add even more effects to your signal chain. You can also mix and match HD amps, cabinets, mics and effects in virtually endless combinations. With 512 presets, you've got plenty of options for recalling your tones.

Sculpt Sounds With Dual Signal Paths

Legendary guitar tones are often created with more than one signal path. POD HD Pro X lets you create these complex, rich tones without the setup headaches of traditional dual-amp rigs. You can route your guitar through two completely independent paths--each with its own HD amp and effects chain, of course -- or process two signals at once using the 1/4" guitar, 1/4" auxiliary, XLR mic, stereo line, S/PDIF or AES/EBU inputs. So whether you want to configure elaborate signal chains for more traditional stereo amp setups, or create unique soundscapes, you've picked the right tool.

Flexible I/O For Recording With Any Daw

POD HD Pro X provides all the connections you need for studio, stage and anywhere in between. You can plug in a mic to record vocals or acoustic instruments, track with your favorite HD amps, use the stereo FX loop to connect stompboxes and outboard effects, and much more. Connect to your computer via USB for studio-quality recording with your favorite DAW software--or tap into POD HD Pro X Edit, the free editor/librarian software that makes it easy to tweak and organize all your tones.

Centerpiece Of Your Guitar Rig

It doesn't matter if you use a guitar amp, go straight to the PA or take advantage of a next-gen full-range guitar rig -- POD HD Pro X is the ideal centerpiece for any guitar setup. It's got a full complement of I/O, so you can incorporate virtually any combination of vintage and modern equipment into your rig -- and it gets even better when you use POD HD Pro X with other Line 6 gear.

Connect a James Tyler Variax guitar and DT amp or StageSource speaker to form the Line 6 Dream Rig -- the only system that can instantly become virtually any rig. With a single POD HD Pro X preset change, you can recall up to 512 total effects setups.

I bought this unit a year ago, and I'm still just as smitten with it as when it came to my doorstep! Within a week of receiving the POD I had 2-3 banks of patches and was playing gigs with it. The amp and effects models sound incredible and feel very life-like, I haven't used a traditional amp and pedal setup in a long time.

Rock, blues, metal, country, funk.
