The MPX G2 is the only effects processor that lets you put effects anywhere you want Ö in front of your amp, in its effects loop, or both. Or use it for recording direct, with no amp at all!

Analog and digital effects Ö 76 in all, as many as 7 at once. Analog distortion and overdrive, and authentic recreations of vintage stomp boxes: Tube Screamer¬, Uni Vibe¬, Octavia¬, Mu-tron III¬, Cry Baby¬, Phase 90¬, Dyna Comp¬, Space Echo¬, and more*. Studio effects like JamMan (20-second delay looper), Intelligent Pitch Shifting, Tap Delay, Chorus, Flange, Rotary Speaker, Parameteric EQ and Lexicon Reverb and Ambience.

Built-in features like a "straight wire" analog bypass and an analog noise gate give you pure guitar tone when you want, and let you keep any high-gain amp totally under control. Other goodies include a tuner, a digital noise gate, dedicated analog tone controls and an analog Speaker Simulator, so you can record direct using the MPX G2 as a programmable stand alone analog preamp with effects.

The MPX R1 MIDI Remote Controller, running V2.0 software, provides stomp box control of all MPX G2 effects.

MPX G2 Effects
The MPX G2 has 76 effects organized into 7 types (one for each of the Effect buttons on the front panel). Any active effect can be bypassed just by pressing the front panel button.

Gain effects include Tone controls, Overdrive, Screamer, and Distortion effects, along with a fully featured, programmable analog guitar preamp.

Effect 1 and Effect 2 contain Pitch Shift, Detune and Tremolo effects, Panners, Phasers, Compressors, and an assortment of wah and volume controls.

Chorus effects include classic chorus and flanger effects along with rotary speakers, and spatial panning effects.

Delay effects include delay, echo, and ducking effects in addition to a complete 20-second JamMan looper.

Reverb effects include a full suite of Lexicon's classic true stereo reverberation and ambience effects. Dedicated processing resources are allocated to the reverb effects so that you can always load any reverb into any program, regardless of what other effects are loaded.

Effect Ordering and Routing
The MPX G2 provides extremely flexible, independent effect ordering and routing within each program. Effects can be placed in any order, simply by "dragging and dropping" them on a simple visual map.

Editing
A front panel Soft Row button takes you directly to the most useful parameters of each program. Front panel System and Edit buttons give you access to all of the controls you need to completely reconfigure your system or to create completely new programs.

Patching System
In addition to the controls built in to certain effects, the MPX G2 patch system provides an assortment of controllers that can be assigned to any effect parameter (up to five per program). These controllers include LFOs, A/B Glide, and Tempo.

MIDI Implementation
The MPX G2 provides standard bulk data dump and load functions as well as MIDI control of A/B and Tap, as well as all effect parameters. Tempo parameters synchronize to incoming MIDI clock, or the MPX G2 can trasnmit its own MIDI clock based on front panel Tap tempo. And all MPX G2 internal control sources (LFOs, pedals, etc.) can be transmitted as MIDI Continuous Controller messages.

Features:
2 separate audio paths let you place effects in front of your amp, in the effects loop, or both.

All of the hardware of a custom guitar rig is built-in: a loop switcher with analog relay bypass, an effects router, analog and digital noise gates, chromatic tuner and an analog speaker simulator.

Multiple processor technology gives you uncompromised reverb at all times Ö no matter what other effects are running.

Dynamic Gain, Lexicon's new analog distortion technology, provides screaming overdrive and warm distortion tones which can be used as an analog stomp box in front of your amp, or as a stand-alone preamp for direct recording or live performance.

7 primary effect types give you pushbutton access to 76 effects, including recreations of classics like the Uni-Vibe, Dyna-Comp, Phase 90, Vox, and Cry Baby wah, intelligent pitch shift, a JamMan style looper with 20-second full-bandwidth delays, Chorus, Flanger, Sweep Filter, Detuner, Rotary Speaker, Parametric EQ, and Tremolo.

A library of 300 presets is organized under database control to let you quickly find programs designed for specific styles like Rock or Blues, or to find all of the programs using certain effects such as OverDrive, or to find only programs suitable for stand alone operation.

Keep your effects in time with the music by assigning tempo control to modulation rates, delay times, or any effect parameter. Tempos can be tapped with the Tap button (or an assigned controller) or "dialed in." MIDI clock can be generated from your tempo, or you can receive MIDI clock from an external sequencer or drum machine.

An A/B glide function is available from the front panel. Activate a glide (or another version of a program) with a single button push.

A front panel Soft Row button lets you access the most useful parameters of each program; the Edit button gives you access to all of the parameters of any effect.

Connecting an MPX R1 gives you stomp box control of all of the MPX G2 effects.
