Get loud and well-balanced tone out of your 12-string acoustic guitar. Ideal for finger-picking, these strings are hand-wound using an Italian silk underlay.

The La Bella Silk and Steel wound strings have silver-plated copper wire wound on pure silk filaments wrapped over a steel core. Preferred by finger-style guitarists for their great volume and mellow tone, these strings are meticulously hand-wound using a pure Italian silk underlay and have less tension than standard steel or bronze wound strings.

In the Twenties and Thirties, the 12-string guitar was popular with Delta Blues players especially "Leadbelly". Today, both folk singers and Hawaiian "slack-key" guitarists prefer this double string instrument.
