KRK monitors are the professional's choice for mixing and mastering for over 25 years. Now you can enhance their natural power with the 12s subwoofers that extend KRK's legendary accuracy to the limits of human hearing.

The 12s powered studio subwoofer builds upon KRK's legacy for sonic accuracy and stellar performance. The custom-made, Kevlar woofer delivers ultra-tight, defined bass, while the Class-D powered Amplifier dramatically increases transient response, control, and punch, allowing you to properly engineer the low-frequency portion of the mix. Pairing the 12s with KRK or another studio monitor delivers an optimized listening and mixing experience with extended low end, while the exclusive bypass-control feature provides full range audio to the monitors if needed, without switching off the subwoofer.

First off let me start by saying that zZounds is AWESOME! My order came a day early, I was so excited. Anyway, this sub KNOCKS. I know a studio sub is meant for monitoring and accurately mixing the low end in tracks but who says you can't just listen to loud music with it?? This thing is powerful! The big 12" driver and the huge enclosure makes for really deep/ room shaking bass. So far I havent turned the volume on the back of the unit passed 25% because thats already loud. Had to tweak the settings on the back a bit to get this sub to sound right but I once I did it sounded insanely good. It hits the low notes really well. I'm listening to songs that I didn't know had so much low/ earth quaking bass. I almost went with the 10" because its half the price but was worried that it wouldn't have as much power and low end but thanks to Zzounds financing flexibility I went for the 12" and I'm so glad I did. I had a 10" JBL sub that claimed to have 200 watts and although it was pretty good it wasn't that impressive, this KRK 12s2 tho...MONSTROUS. I love it. KRK makes such great quality products. I have KRK Rokit 8 G2's, had them for about 6 years and they still run perfect, so this 12s2 is a perfect compliment. Going back to the price of the sub, I think it's strange that the 12 is twice as much as the 10. The 10 is $400 and the 12 is $800, I think the 12 should be a couple hundred dollars less than what its going for right now. And thats not knock the value of the 12, I believe the read more 12 is better than the 10 but it should be priced about $100-$200 more than the 10 not twice as much. But again, if it wasn't for zZound's awesome financing options I wouldn't have gotten it.
