Features

Packed with numerous high-quality guitar models and effects using KORG's 'REMS' modeling technology.

Body models perfectly simulate the body resonances of new and vintage acoustic guitars.

Mic effect delivers the sense of 'air' and depth that are present when you play an acoustic guitar through a condenser microphone.

Unique effects such as Resonator, Steel, and Nylon-String Guitar are also included.

Eighty different programs (40 preset, 40 user).

Intuitive, knob-based control of models, effects, and parameters.

Expression pedal for real-time control.

A convenient notch filter for eliminating feedback can also be operated with the Expression pedal or notch knob.

Built-in Auto Chromatic Tuner with mute function.

Ultimately portable, the AX10A's compact size fits into the pocket of your guitar bag or gig bag.

Two-way power supply: Four AA alkaline batteries (allows approximately 18 hours of continuous use) or AC adapter (KA 183). Both sold separately.

Silver body and knobs in a modern, easy to use design.

Numerous Built-in Effects Using 'REMS' Deliver the Acoustic Sounds You Want
Built into the AX10A are numerous effects powered by Korg's amazingly accurate 'REMS' modeling technology and optimized for acoustic sounds. These include standard effects such as compressor and limiter, ambience effects such as echo, delay, and reverb, as well as chorus. You can take advantage of a wide range of creative sound-making potential without impairing your natural acoustic sound.

Body & Mic Modeling Effect Simulates Body Resonances and Micing
The built-in Body effect simulates the sonic character produced by the body resonances of famous acoustic guitars. From great names of the past to new cutting-edge brands, the subtle differences in sound arising from the body structure and size of numerous guitars have been modeled in precise detail. While piezo output can tend to have a somewhat sterile character, the Body effect produces a richer and more natural sound by adding the resonances of the wood and body that are typical of an acoustic guitar. Unique types such as the distinctive sound of a resonator guitar and the sound of nylon strings can also be simulated. You can play all these types of acoustic sounds from just one single electric-acoustic guitar!

There's also a built-in Mic effect that simulates the sense of 'air' and space that you get when you mic an acoustic guitar. With the AX10A, it's easy for anyone to get the sound of mic-ing techniques that would otherwise require years of experience and knowledge. You can enjoy rich, full acoustic sounds even with a direct-line connection.

Eighty Preset Programs
40 preset programs cover a wide range of genres, playing styles, and situations. You can store 40 more user programs, giving you a total of 80 programs to choose from.

Expression Pedal for Real-time Control of Notch Filter or Other Parameters
You can use the built-in expression pedal to control the volume or a variety of effects, including the notch filter. You can obtain a wide range of expressive possibilities by using the pedal to adjust the depth of chorus, delay, or reverb in real time. If you assign the pedal to control the notch filter, you'll be able to find the feedback point while holding your guitar in a standing position. This means that you can eliminate feedback under various conditions when performing live on stage.

Tuner and Other Support Functions
The AX10A provides a full range of support functions, including an Auto Chromatic Tuner. Its intuitive knob-based interface and easily understandable panel layout make it simple for you to create your own sounds. The AX10A's compact design and its ability to operate on battery power make it portable and convenient for all types of situations.

Korg AX10A Acoustic Modeling Pedal Reviews

21 People rated this product :
           9 out of 10
           10 out of 10
"Mmm, AX10 A, well, I like it!"
Feature:
Metal construction, expression pedal is very useful, and I don't think they have included an expression pedal on the new version of this pedal (ax3?), which is a shame cos I use it all the time. Would be nice to be able to name the patches though, rather than having to memorise the numbers for each patch.

Quality:
Unit looks good, has analogue feel despite being digital. Very reliable, hasn't gone wrong once.

Value:
Worth the money, very cheap for what you are getting. Like I said before, only problem is limited editable parameters on some effects, but on the flip side, that makes it easier to use.

Desirability:
Looks metaly, erm, is functional, does it for me, nice knobs! ERm...

Sound:
High sound quality, everyone loves it at gigs, say guitar sounds really nice. Gets rid of that nasty piezzo sound, c-mic setting sounds just like my akg c1000 mics when recorded but cleaner. At least as good as anything else I have heard.

Ease of Use:
Lots of adjustable parrameters, all you need for most acoustic stuff, intuitive eq and effects knobs etc, can change on the fly swiftly. I hook mine up to my loop pedal and use the delay a lot. There could be more parameters for some effects, but they are all very usable as they are without having to mess about with them too much.

Support:
Not needed to deal with Korg, just bought the thing, that was all!

Overall:
Will stick with this beasty till breaks, may get another one if it does.
