Overview
Delivering astounding sonic clarity, the KAT KT4 e-drum kit is packed with features aimed at realistic playability and remarkable sound. The KT4's bass drum kick tower features an 8-inch Bass Pad fitted with a Mylar drumhead for a natural feeling response and the 11-inch, dual-zone white drum pads are more realistic-feeling than ever. A real-time actuating, movable, three-zone, 12-inch hi-hat cymbal offers more control than ever before and the kit includes a DW3500 Hi-Hat Stand from Drum Workshop. The two 12-inch crash cymbals and extra-large 14-inch ride cymbal have bell, bow and edge programmability for robust and realistic playing.
The KT4 is loaded with a huge library of over 700 sounds, all with astounding sonic clarity. Drum kit sounds include exclusively multi-sampled drum sets from leading acoustic drum makers. Snare drum sounds include a variety of popular wood, brass and steel snare drums. A hand-selected collection of professional-grade crashes, rides and hi-hats resulted in cymbal sounds with distinctive articulation, sustain and decay. LP provided the kt4's percussion voices, raising the bar for drum module realism.
Voice controls include a selection of DSP room and hall reverbs as well as 4-bands of EQ to tailor each kit and component to fit any musical style. With the included SD memory card, you can load up to 100 play-along midi files from your own collection of compositions.

The rear panel of the kt4 module has standard MIDI in/out ports and a USB 3.0 port that plugs directly into your PC or Mac, allowing you to interface with the software of your choice.

"Great sounding kit"

After a long break from drumming I decided to return and get back into drumming. I research kits from the 300 dollar range, all the way up to 5000 plus. Given my budget I was stuck between this kit and a few Alesis kits. When looking at the specs, this kit came with a realistic 3 zone hi hat, three 3 zone cymbals, and dual zone pads. I have never used or played electronic drum set but KAT really sold me.
The kit arrived in about 2 days. It took around an hour or so to set up and start playing. The kit has very realistic sounding drums, even some sampled from real DW and Gretch drum kits. There are more features than I can even manage to use included on the module. May people say that Edrums need to have mesh heads, however, these rubber heads work well for me, and include 11inch playing surface. The included HI-Hat stand is a DW3500 series, and is very sturdy.
Overall I love this drum kit. It sounds amazing, has more bang for your buck than any comparable kits in the same price range. The white drum pads stay clean and wipe down easy if needed. I would say if you are in the 1400-2000 dollar price range this kit is the way to go
