I bought this speaker to go into a Laney Cub 10 combo. The original H&H speaker sounded okay for cleans but it didn't handle overdrive very well at all and the amp overall just sounded very dark. I installed a Ragin' Cajun and it definitely handled the dirt much better than the stock speaker, but it was also very,..very loud and didn't sound very good unless it was turned up to a louder level than I normally play with this particular amp, and it was still too bass heavy for my taste.Well, this speaker and a couple of JJs pre amp tubes has got it sounding just about right. It brightened the amp up, brought the volume level down to a more reasonable level, (still pretty loud for 10 watts through a 35 watt speaker) and has completely changed the character of the overdriven sound. My Laney now has the Princeton-like sound I was looking for, and I suspect it will sound even better once the Jenson has fully broken in.The Jenson speakers are also more reasonably priced than most other speakers made in Europe or the US.This was my first Jenson speaker purchase, but I will definitely look into them again in the future.
