This monitor control station has mono sum/mute/dim, 4 stereo input sources, 4 stereo outputs, USB digital audio I/O, and a footswitch-activated talkback mic.

The JBL M-Patch Active-1 Provides seamless A/B switching of input sources and speaker systems and includes USB I/O for direct digital audio recording and playback when connected to a computer audio system.

The ACTIVE-1 allows monitoring of four stereo input sources via four stereo outputs and delivers a full complement of audio monitoring functions, including: precision volume control, mono summing, mute, and dim. A footswitch-activated talk-back function, complete with on-board condenser microphone and selectable routing, makes the ACTIVE-1 the ideal solution for a broad range of studio production applications.

If you only have 2 sets of playback monitors, a 2TR recorder, and a couple pairs of headphones, the JBL M-Patch Active-1 monitor station is perfect for you! All 1/4" (plus a LR RCA input), which hopefully doesn't bother your inner "studio snob". It also works as a USB audio interface. Totally solid metal build. Super smooth volume knob. Just enough "pro" to make any home DAW engineer feel like they own a real recording studio. I'm really impressed.
