I am a musician, bass player and a recording engineer/producer. I bought this bass and I think it's an amazing purchase. Came in time, well packaged, stellar sexy, sleek, looks, very playable and sounds great. 3 band EQ and 2 volume for 2 pickups should give you plenty of options. You can get tones for any genre out of this instrument. You can DIAL in pretty much ANY sound, if you can't it's because of lack of your knowledge. Great craftsmanship. Rock solid built. Sounds great. Some people complain that strings are too close to one another, I am 6'3", with pretty big hands and I don't think so. I personally didn't notice but even If it is so, you very quickly get used to it. It's very playable and smooth. Very "fast" neck. Well balanced and so hard to get out of tune. It literally stays in tune and I practice 3hrs every day. If you're into versatile, great looking and astonishing sounding bass guitar with 5 strings and modern design and sound ...go for it, this is the one trust me.
