From Our Catalog
Ozone combines analog modeling with 64-bit digital precision to deliver a complete set of world class mastering processors.

From the warm sound of tube modeled equalizers to the pure transparency of linear phase filters, Ozone provides the tools and the technology you need to deliver top notch audio masters.

Ozone is a system of top quality 64-bit DSP algorithms, complemented with enhanced visual meter displays, and integrated in an interface that makes it incredibly easy to get incredibly good masters.

iZotope Ozone isn't a collection of plug-ins. It's a single interface that combines all of the required mastering tools in one system. This makes it easier to use, easier to understand the mix, and -- well -- it just sounds better because, once the signal goes in, it's all 64-bit processing until it comes out. It's technically impossible to get this sound quality and resolution by chaining separate plug-ins together.

Multiband Dynamics:
Up to four bands of multiband dynamics that carefully emulate the response of analog circuitry, providing natural-sounding compression, expansion, and limiting

Real time visualization of the dynamics within each band, including gain reduction meters, level histograms and X-Y compression curves.

Analog or digital linear phase crossovers with adjustable Q (bandwidth).

Controls for comparing "gain when bypassed", offsetting overall band gain and muting, bypassing and solo'ing individual bands.

Paragraphic EQ:
Shape the tone with eight nodes of bell, highpass, lowpass, highshelf or lowshelf filters overlaid on an ultra fast spectrum display.

Choose from analog modeled EQ with "soft saturation" modeling or digital linear phase filtering with up to 16,000 bands of precision.

Compare your mixes with a powerful spectrum analyzer that offers real time and average modes, critical or third octave bands and snapshots.

Use spectrum snapshots of recordings to create "automatic" EQ curves.

Multiband Harmonic Exciter:
Up to four bands of multiband excitation for adding warmth, sparkle or shine to your mixes.

Choose from retro, tape or tube modeled excitation with adjustable amount and mix controls for each band.

Unique multiband time offset controls for tightening and adding "attack" to bass and kick.

Multiband Stereo Imaging:
Up to four bands of multiband stereo widening for adding space to your mix without losing the bass.

Visualize the stereo image with a powerful phase/channel meter display that highlights imaging, phase and potential canceling problems

Apply multiband channel delay controls for adjusting the perceived location of the stereo field or correcting tape azimuth errors.

Mastering Reverb:
Dual mode reverb for adding ambience to your mix.

Selectable plate or room modeling algorithms for "studio" or "acoustic" ambience.

Control room size, predelay, width, frequency cutoff and more

Special controls for solo'in the wet signal, adjusting the frequency response and monitoring the width and phase of the reverb signal.

Loudness Maximizer:
Push the level without overloading with analog modeled or digital transparent loudness maximizers.

Intelligent release control technology with predictive limiting of "intersample clipping".

Adjustable threshold, margin, release and character controls.

Visual feedback provided through limiting gain reduction meters and overall loudness histograms.

Dither:
Prepare audio for CD with word-length reduction and high order psychoacoustic shaped dither.

Choose from three types of noise shaped dither algorithms.

Integrated DC offset filtering, auto-blanking and dither harmonic suppression for dynamic and transparent conversions.

Unique set of bit scopes and DC level meters provide a complete view of the digital bitstream and conversion process.

Additional Features:
Work faster, easier and smarter

Manage presets with a modular integrated preset system.

Customize the signal processing order with a unique graphical flowchart.

Automate over 150 parameters through automation.

Create A/B comparisons or step back through your tweaks with unlimited undo and history operations.

"holy crap"
Feature:
Kind of overwhelming at first, but the presets help you understand the features and how they interact.

Quality:
Stable, responsive, reasonable CPU usage

Value:
$200 for this kind of sound is ridiculously cheap.

Sound:
Unbelievable sound quality for the price and for the range of improvements it can make in your final mix. The individual components are really useful and sound great on their own, too...for example, the Mastering Reverb is way better than all the cheesy reverbs in Logic Express.

Ease of Use:
You can start from the dozens of presets and get a good-sounding master in about 5 minutes.

Overall:
If you have any interest in making decent-sounding demos or home studio tracks, as I do, then it's pretty indispensable. Dunno what I did without it...

"Ozone ROCKS"
Feature:
Works with VST and AU what else you need? The master reverb section is hella cool. You can single out low and high frequencies to be effected. EQ and everything is great TOP NOTCH

Quality:
Never had a problem. For what it is it cant be beat.

Value:
I would give this an 11 if I could!

Desirability:
It def looks cool with the graphic eq and interface. People ask me "what does that do?" all the time.

Sound:
Im giving this an 8 because its not going to give you as quality of a master as a studio by any means. For what it is it gets a 10.

Ease of Use:
Easy as pie to use. Morons could get big improvements in minutes.

Support:
iZotope is a great company, and Ive needed no support but have heard good things.

Overall:
For a mastering pug this is top notch. Again its not as quality as getting your track professionally mastered, but the cost does not even compare whatsoever.
