Drum Rocker delivers the most realistic drumming experience available to any gamer, regardless of platform. That's because it was built by the engineers at Alesis, one of the largest manufacturers of professional electronic drums in the world. As a result, you get a kit that's designed to take a real beating, with all the positioning flexibility that professional drummers demand. While other drum controllers lock you down to a pre-molded plastic array of pads, Drum Rocker's professional aluminum drum rack lets you position your snare, tom and cymbal pads wherever you want. When you're ready to move from playing Rock Band to playing in a rock band, you can swap the game controller module with one of the professional drum brains made by Alesis, and you're ready to hit the road for real!

Designed for Rock Band 2, the Drum Rocker also works great with the original Rock Band as well as any other game that uses the same standard drum controller mapping that Rock Band uses and that also includes Guitar Hero 4 World Tour.

Ultra-quiet velocity sensitive pads.
Drum Rocker's velocity-sensitive drum pads feature a playing surface that is much quieter than other drum controllers. They also feel great - the stick rebound off of the pad is much more natural and consistent than anything else available. The pad housing is made of high-impact plastic, designed to be whacked on stage night after night. No matter how much you punish them, the Drum Rocker drum pads can take it.

The pads are mounted to the drum rack with a metal L-Arm and clamp system, which allows them to be tilted, swiveled, raised and lowered to whatever position you want. Just one warning - once you play these pads, nothing else will do!

Complete the experience with up to three cymbals.
There's nothing like finishing a monster fill by whacking a crash cymbal. Or crossing over to play your hi-hat with your right hand while you keep the backbeat on the snare with your left. Or keeping time on a ride cymbal during the chorus. Drum Rocker lets you do all that and more, with cymbals that can be placed anywhere around the kit.

Drum Rocker comes with two cymbals and mounting hardware out of the box. You get to decide how you want to use the two cymbals that come with the kit - set them up as a hi-hat/crash, crash/ride or hi-hat/ride combination, then add a third cymbal (not included) to round out the kit.

The kick drum pedal with any drum controller takes a lot of abuse. No need to worry with Drum Rocker - this pedal is all metal and built to last! It's also got the right amount of tension to replicate the feeling of playing a real drum pedal, and we're even building an accessory pedal to allow for double-pedal setups.

The pedal comes with Velcro and retractable spikes, so you can be sure it will stay put. You're not limited to where you place it either - put the kick pedal wherever you feel most comfortable playing it.

Sound: Not really much to say about the sound, it's an electronic set and i don't have the drum module. As far as volume, the pads are quieter than the stock RB1 drums. I've heard the RB2 drums come with silencers so I can't compare that. Feature: Packed with features as far as video game controllers go. Highly adjustable, you can move the drums/cymbals wherever you want with wing nuts. Also, the pads AND cymbals are velocity sensitive, so the louder you hit them the louder they will play in rock band. Ease of Use: Ease of use.... as far as the set-up, it takes quite awhile and the instructions aren't too detailed, but even so putting it all together is quite easy (though a little extra length on the eye bolts for the cymbals would have been nice). Overall, took between 1 - 1.5 hours for me and I haven't ever set up an electronic kit before. Quality: Once again I'm grading this as a game controller, not a full-fledged electronic set. The quality is great! It feels natural (once you get a feel for it anyway) and is highly adjustable. Good bounce on all the pads, not loud, the whole thing is stable, it just don't feel cheap at all. (still, be careful not to over-tighten anything) also of note, the pedal feels much more solid, it's looser and easier to press, a bit louder but it's worth it to not have a pedal that's going to snap on you. one more thing, the tracking is way better, you get a lot less dropped notes. this is pretty important in RB2, as I've already run into a few songs with very fast straight 16ths on the snare that i KNOW would get dropped on the RB1 set but i can get up the 4x multiplier easy with this set (provided i pay attention to the tempo :P ) Value: Pricey, but worth every penny if you're into drumming and like to play rock band. Manufacturer Support: I haven't actually dealt with Ion, but I pre-ordered the set and it arrived the day after RB2 came out (i pre-ordered late, from what I hear if you pre-ordered in august they came the week before RB2 was released) The Wow Factor: This set makes chicks dig you. Or if you're a chick and you have this....... call me. Overall: GREAT product, definitely worth the upgrade from the RB1 set (i would assume the RB2 set as well, they're basically the same). If you're a drummer that loves your video games and don't want to take the time/effort/money to mod a higher-end set for use with rock band, this baby is for you.

Sound: Excellent product! I bought these drums for my fiance and he loves them! The pedal is very strong, unlike the one's he's had before that broke. This one is solid! Easy to use, easy to set up. The only down side is that they aren't wireless, but it's such a small inconvenience that it really doesn't matter. They're quiet and easily adjustable to suit your particular style. For a "toy", they are as close to professional quality as you can get. We looked at drum sets at the music store. For the same type set up & quality, they wanted $700. Overall, I'd highly recommend this drum set to anyone. Feature: Best feature is the kick pedal. It's solid, doesn't break and stays where you put it. Worst feature, if I had to pick one would be the fact that it's not wireless, but the drums are so good that the wires don't matter. Ease of Use: My fiance is very talented on the drums. He found it to be very easy to use. Our teens have used it and loved it as well. Quality: Excellent. Value: Excellent value!! Manufacturer Support: I rated this a 10 because I haven't had any problems. The only experiences I've had with the company was ordering it. Ordering was simple and delivery was fast. The Wow Factor: It's a must! Overall: I'd replace it with the same one at this point. The only reason I'd buy something different would be if my fiance decided to get more heavily involved with playing the drums, outside of Rock Band.
