StealthPedal Deluxe is the first USB-powered guitar audio interface/software controller in a compact wah-style pedal, allowing users to record, play and control the included "Powered by Amplitube" software, or any other MIDI controllable software, with the same feel and ease of use as a traditional guitar pedal. Includes StealthPedal, AmpliTube Live, Ampeg SVX UNO, AmpliTube X-GEAR, RiffWorks T4 and Sonic Reality Jam Loops.

StealthPedal allows anyone to record guitar or bass with their Mac/PC at the highest possible quality, with 24-bit A/D and D/A conversion and 44.1/48 kHz operation. Two separate inputs are provided for Hi-Z or line level instruments as well as two separate outputs, plus a convenient headphone output.

StealthPedal also works as a software floor controller: the built-in expression pedal and switch can be associated with any parameter of "Powered by Amplitube" software, or any other amp and FX modeling software with MIDI control capabilities.

The StealthPedal controls can also be expanded with an additional expression pedal and two extra switches for building a mini-pedalboard rig with preset and single effects control capabilities for full live/recording usage. Users are not limited to controlling amp-simulator software with StealthPedal, as it can control any effects plug-in, virtual instrument or DAW with MIDI control capabilities.

StealthPedal sports a rugged, metal, classic-wah style, compact enclosure with a volume knob and three LED indicators that operate as a status display, tuner or level indicator when used with any "Powered by AmpliTube" software.

StealthPedal's circuit design has been derived from IK's StompIO high-end stage controller, ensuring the highest fidelity in the recording of for your guitar and bass with software configurable input gain level, 109dBA low noise input stage and optimal audio quality throughout.

StealthPedal also comes with a must-have assortment of software including AmpliTube 2 Live guitar and bass amp and fx modeling software, standalone and plug-in, Ampeg(R) SVX UNO, standalone and plug-in bass amp and fx modeling software, AmpliTube X-GEAR for further expandability with all "Powered by Amplitube" software, Sonoma Riffworks(TM) T4 for immediate recording/composing/online sharing with your Mac or PC and AmpliGrooves Loops from Sonic Reality. The StealthPedal and the included plug-in is also compatible with all popular DAW software supporting ASIO and Core Audio drivers on PC and Mac.

IK StealthPedal Customer Review
Sound: The StealthPedal is a USB audio interface and comes with guitar amp and fx modeling software, but I'm not using any of that stuff so I can't comment on it. It comes with 2 CDs of software, but the only software that I was interested in was "Install StealthPedal MIDI Control.exe". I'd been looking for a smaller alternative to the Behringer FCB1010 as a midi controller. While I liked the Behringer in most respects, it needed a midi interface, was confusing to configure and was fairly large. I replaced it with the IK Multimedia StealthPedal, a Boss FS-6 Dual Footswitch and an M-Audio Universal expression controller pedal. The whole setup cost about $285. To use the StealthPedal as a midi controller, the StealthPedal Midi Control program must be running at all times! After figuring that out, configuring the pedal was straightforward and involved none of the head scratching I went through with the Behringer FCB1010. I've set the switches on the Boss FS-6 to "FS-5U (Momentary)" and the polarity switches to the left position. You've got six possible midi controllers. I'm using it in a purely computer based setup with the two foot switches on the Boss set to start and stop Stylus RMX, and to toggle record on and off on my VST looper. The volume control on the side of the pedal is controlling feedback on the looper, and the two pedals are acting as volume and wah pedals for my Guitar's VST amp emulator. I'm not currently using the switch under the stealth pedal. To actuate that switch you need to move the StealthPedal to it's maximum position and put some weight on it. So I'm happy. The StealthPedal is smaller, easier to configure, but more limited and more expensive than the Behringer. I'll note that neither the StealthPedal, nor the M-Audio expression pedal "feel" as nice as the expression pedals on the Behringer, but I think it will just take some time to get use to the difference.
