As more players move towards Artstar, Ibanez continues to grow the line, answering needs normally only serviced by custom builders.

The SS300 is a perfect example: A lower bout width of 15" downsizes the body noticeably, making it more comfortable for the player who can't quite wrap around a conventionally sized hollow body -- and yet the SS300 delivers full, round, traditional jazz tone.

Much of that savory tone is due to the SS300's solid Spruce top, Flamed Maple back and sides, and solid, 5-piece Maple/ Walnut set-in neck. A bound Ebony fingerboard offers elegant Pearl/ Abalone block inlays, and medium frets, given the Artstar Fret Edge treatment for faster, smoother playing. Jazz players will recognize the original Ibanez Super 58 Customs as the pickup preferred by numerous jazz luminaries for use in their own Signature models. Super 58 Customs are characterized by their warm, balanced articulation and exceptional response.
