As the title says, this is the first high-end guitar I have owned, although I've jammed on a few Gibson LPs, Fender Strats, high-end Jacksons, etc, and I can confidently say that this guitar meets or exceeds the craftsmanship of those axes. The body is very light while still providing excellent tone, the fretwork is the best I have seen, and the tuning stability is very good, although may benefit from some tweaks (the 752 may have been a better call in this respect, although the machine heads are still top-knotch). The stock DiMarzio PAF pickups produce exceptional clean tones, and while being lower output, don't fare too poorly distorted, although I look to upgrade in the future. They low end is covered rarely well, which is important for a seven, though those who play heavier music will want more output. To summarize, I'm not an expert by any means, but I've tinkered with enough guitars to say this guitar is extremely competent in the price range, and the craftsmanship of the Prestige line is unparalleled.
