The Ibanez RG Prestige series models, introduced in 1987 and still thriving and evolving, are world famous for their characteristic thin, fast necks, and hard-edged rock and metal tones. The RG Prestige models are now all made in Japan by Ibanez's finest luthiers, with Wizard necks with Prestige finishing, Edge Zero and Edge Pro bridges, and a broad range of intense pickups in different configurations. Watch these diabolical creations turn heads and warp minds with colors and specs inspired by the originals.

Super Wizard Prestige Neck

The 5 piece Super Wizard HP Maple/Walnut Prestige neck is extremely fast and slim. The HP stands for High Performance, for a more comfortable neck feel and smoother neck shape.

DiMarzio Pickups

Air Norton (neck): The tone is deep and warm, but not muddy. Hot, but not distorted. It's even got cool harmonics, which are really unusual for a neck humbucker.

True Velvet (middle): A vintage-style single-coil pickup that's clean and bright, but designed to still sound sweet when picking above the 12th fret. Coil is tuned to a frequency range that's bright but not thin.

Tone Zone (bridge): Hot enough to qualify as a high-output pickup, but has a wider dynamic range. Hard picking will produce a lot of power, and softer picking will be much cleaner and quieter. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Ibanez products.
