The Ibanez RG1527M offers awesome performance. With V77 and V87 pickups and an Edge Pro Tremolo, the Ibanez RG1527M sounds great across any range.

As the RG Prestige history continues to be written, players have demanded new specs, new finishes and new thrills. In 2009, Ibanez has responded with the new RG1527M. The Ibanez RG1527Ms are all made in Japan by our finest luthiers and have the fast, flat Prestige necks, drop-dead good looks and double-locking trems, plus new finishes, maple fretboards and new pickup configurations featuring DiMarzio(R) Air Norton(TM), True Velvet(TM) and Tone Zone(R) pickups.

Features

The new RG1527M's ripping tones come from a V77 pickup in the neck position and a V87 in the bridge position.

The RG1527M features a 5-piece maple/wenge Wizard-7 Prestige neck with maple fretboard.

Edge Pro Tremolo

In the last two decades, no other guitar maker besides Ibanez has done so much to advance the art and science of the tremolo. The Edge-PRO represents the next phase in locking tremolos.

To avoid the problem of string holder blocks getting lost during string changes, the Edge-PRO's sliding string holders are actually part of the bridge and won't drop from the saddle unit.

With the Edge-PRO design, there's no need to cut off the ball end of your strings when installing new strings.

The Edge-PRO features a unique Sound Metal Chip on each saddle which helps increase sustain right at the most critical area, the intonation point.

I am a die hard ibanez fan and dont see that changing since i have actually owned and or played most other brands and they just dont compare. If this thing were stolen, I would find who took it and then reclaim the guitar and then beat them to death with it, then I would hand the guitar on my wall and buy another.
Sound
Ibanez guitars are absolutely amazing, I have played them for over 10 years and will not switch. That being said, I have never liked ibanez pickups, they just dont suit my taste at all, so this guitar plus new pickups is the best ever.
Ease of Use
Very simple design, The bridge is easy to use for a floyd style trem
Quality
Ibanez quality is second to none! period. This guitar is amazingly built with total attention to detail, everything is beautiful, from the finish to the bridge, to the feel of the neck and the construction feels and is totally solid.
Value
This guitar is totally worth the money, just change the pickups. Every ibanez product is amazing value. I own faily cheap ibbys that feel and play better than guitars costing far more ie. usa strat and gibsons.
The Wow Factor
Very sexy gutiar! And i feel sexy when i play it, and hey all guitarists need to feel sexy dont we! so get one and you will be sexy.
