Ibanez GRG7221 Electric Guitar, 7-String

Start your seven-string journey with the Ibanez GRG7221. Its two humbuckers, poplar body and pine fretboard produce thick tone ideal for playing metal.

Patterned after the legendary Ibanez metal monster, the Ibanez GRG7221 is the affordable gateway to that same combination of speed, fury, and expression.

This GRG's Poplar body is cloaked in high gloss finish, and complemented by a New Zealand pine fingerboard equipped with string-bending-friendly jumbo frets. Infinity R humbucking pickups deliver the requisite fat, distorted tone metal rockers crave, while the Ibanez Fixed 7 bridge lets you take your playing to a whole other level.

first off, i have bought this guitar back in 2015 and after 3 years f it being my main guitar. i am very impressed. the feel of this guitar is absolutely fluid and fast playing. the neck handles the tension really well, and very easy to adjust. really, only one downside to this guitar. the tuning machines. well, i mean for $200 what do you expect? so i swapped them out for a set of chrome D'addario planet waves locking tuners and the tuning stability is much better. now, the sound, the pickups are pretty good, the neck pickup is great for the "Widdly-dees" with nice and thick charecteristics, and the bridge pickup has some really nice bite to them. so all in all, id say for $200, id definetly reccomend this

Musical Background:

been playing guitar for about 5 years and just now went "Pro" (pro used loosely) with an EP in the works

Musical Style:

really into the technical heavy metal (Sweeos, tapping etc...)
