What's special about this item?

Maple body Long sustain, good projection, bright tone
3-piece maple neck Improved strength and stability; clear tone
Ebony fretboard Dark color, tight grain; premium fretboard wood
Ebony bridge Enhanced mass and beauty

Inspired by the popularity of George Benson's GB10 signature model, the GB10SE exemplifies Ibanez expertise in creating high-quality, affordable signature instruments capable of meeting the artists exacting demands. As part of the highly regarded Artstar Series, GB10SE retains many of the same features and appointments of its posh predecessor, at a price accessible for the working musician.

The GB10SE's comfortably sized, narrower, hollow body features a Spruce top with Maple back and sides, augmented with a strong, smooth GB 3-piece Maple set-in neck. It also features an Ebony bridge and the same eye-catching GB10 tailpiece as its more expensive sibling. A special design half-bone/half-brass nut creates a warm natural tone while enhancing sustain. The Ibanez Sure Grip III control knobs insure precise, no-slip control over volume and tone.

Designed for smooth sound and moderate output, two GB Special mini-humbuckers are mounted to the pickguard, suspending them above the guitar's Spruce top. This prevents feedback at higher volume while retaining a warm, creamy tone.
Spanning over three decades, George Benson and Ibanez have one of the most enduring relationships ever between a guitar maker and guitar legend.
The GB10SE includes a hardshell case.

I've had this GB10SE for about a week now. Purchased a blemished model to save a few bucks. When it came, (in one day, thank you), it rattled when moved. I thought it was the wiring banging around. But, turned out to be the pickguard bracket epoxy had broken free of the guard . Drop of epoxy and no rattle. There was a gouge about the size of a half dollar on the back, which on further inspection was some dried goo that wiped off completely with a wet towel... The bridge intonation was out about a quarter inch, but since the factory sheet off foam was still under it, it had to be removed and reset anyway... And the truss rod was a quarter turn tight making the first two frets buzz..The entire "FIX" took about four minutes total... I have since tried to figure out why it was considered blemished at all. Looks great. Sounds great. . Not pretending it sounds like an expensive jazz box. But, it isn't. It does sound MUCH better than the GB30 I had years ago.. The top not having the pickups attached or the holes gives it much more resonance. And same with the bone/brass nut... I'd have given it and the service 5stars if it wasn't for the fact that it seems like no tech touched or tried to fix such minor issues before the sale..
