Ibanez EGEN18 Herman Li Signature Electric Guitar (with Case)

As co-founder, songwriter, and half of Dragonforce's powerful dual lead guitar lineup, Herman Li has forged a reputation as one of the most incendiary players of his generation. His fleet-fingered melodic style has amazed and inspired legions of guitarists, earning him a spot on Guitar World magazine's coveted list of the top 50 fastest guitarists of all time. As a player who makes incredible demands of his instrument, Li has been an Ibanez player for years. So when first invited by Ibanez to design a signature instrument, he embraced the opportunity to challenge both himself and Ibanez to push the limits of what a high-performance guitar could be.

Made in Japan as part of the critically acclaimed Prestige line, the EGEN18DRG is inspired by the popular S series body style. Li's alterations include a deeper cut into the body at the lower horn, and additional contours near the neck joint to allow unfettered access up to the 24th fret. Another of Li's inventions is what he calls the "Kung Fu Grip"--a handgrip scalloped into the upper horn, modeled after Li's own hand. The 430mm radius EGEN neck draws on the acclaimed Ibanez Wizard and features 5-piece Maple/Walnut construction for absolute stability. The EGEN18DRG's Hum-Sing-Hum pickup configuration utilizes Li's custom DiMarzio HLM pickup set. The middle single-coil pickup has been recessed to provide full clearance for the picking hand, while a push-pull volume knob allows 9 different pickup configurations for a wider variety of tonal options. Accented with gold hardware and oval Abalone neck inlays, the EGEN18DRG is drenched in a fiery red "Dragon's Blood" finish, creating an instrument of dramatic visual impact.
