Wanted a 12 string for home studio and didn't want to break the bank. It comes from the factory with D'Addario EXL150 strings. Came well set up and very playable. When I tried to intonate the main strings I found that the A and D string saddles could not allow it. I loosened the strings took off the retainer clip wire carefully with a needlenose pliers and moved the string saddles for the A and D string to the center of the screw and gently pried them out by levering a tiny screw driver against the adjacent screw head. Then I unscrewed the saddle and put it back on the screw going in the opposite direction. After pressing them back into place carefully but firmly with the screw driver(saddle in about the middle) I reattached the retainer clip and had no trouble getting proper intonation. Turns out a case was hard to find but I was told that the ASB 100C Case., ASB 180 Bass by Ibanez was a workable fit. Really happy with the guitar Good looking and easy to play. (Disclaimer: I called zZounds and asked if changing the saddle direction voided the warranty and the guy said yes. He said I needed new strings but the gap to correct intonation was too much I knew from experience. However I have been playing for 57 years and have done this procedure many times on very expensive Gibsons because I use D'Addario EHR 360 half round strings (.013 to .056) which usually need this fix to intonate some strings since they are basically Acoustic string specs, So I took the chance. I play Jazz and read more Rock. If you are unsure get your local luthier to do this for you.) Of course since the same saddle holds two strings the E, A,D.and G string's octave string is not perfect but is part of the 12 string sound. The B and high E are the same in unison so no issue there.
