Hartke amplifiers are designed to help you find new sounds. They provide unlimited tone-shaping, along with ample power ratings that ensure maximum headroom in any type of playing situation. This is a simple, yet flexible bass head that produces a lot of power. I play in a 300 seat auditorium and it produces plenty of power through a Genz 210 cabinet. Not a lot of controls, but by using the enhance button and tone controls, one can produce a pretty wide range of tonal variations. No reverb or "effects", but I put those through a foot controlled pre-amp if I want to fool around with more snazzy stuff.

"Use as a guitar amp not as a bass amp... KICK ASS!"
I sort of wondered... what if I use it as a guitar amp, like they did with the Fender Bassman? I did! I used it with a Marshall cab.
Contour switch on ENHANCE, Compression ON. Adjust the tone controls to taste. I played with a Fender Tele DeLuxe (Japan) with DiMarzio's Virtual 2 pickups (neck, middle) and Tele Chopper (bridge). For distortion I used the Ibanez TS7/MS7. Sounds Great! Use the effects send/return loop for other effects.
