Based on one of Hamer's original designs, this double-cutaway features an arched maple top, a mahogany body, rosewood fretboard and Wilkinson tremolo bridge.

The Hamer Archtop Sunburst is based on the original Hamer Studio body, the third classic Hamer design introduced in 1977. This new model has been upgraded with a solid maple top, mahogany body. These models offer a beefy, yet focused tone. The eye catching Dark Cherry Burst on figured Maple veneer results in a visually inspiring instrument. The SATFW comes standard with a Wilkinson Tremolo and classic Hamer controls and switch orientation.

I bought my baby back because I missed her. I owned a very much similar version of this guitar about 5 years ago until I had it out with my "ex's, we all know how that goes. Anyway, I say "similar" version because mine didn't have the locking tuners and I broke a string finding out the difference in locking tuners vs the ones I was used to. Now, I have to get used to these darn things. Those of you who aren't used to locking tuners, BE CAREFUL!!! LOL! Other than that, OH! and the new tremolo feature, that was something I was wanting on my old baby. I haven't put it on yet but I'm glad they finally put it on my new baby. So, yes, I am MORE THAN HAPPY WITH IT!!! zZounds has been great. Thank you zZounds for all the help and support.
