This small device can do a lot to help hunt down sound or simply tell you were it is going, and where it is not. For the price it will not do a $1000 diagnostic on a home studio or even Lincoln Center. But after a while you will be able to find those low frequency hums that hide in corners or come from other sources than the ones making and recording music. Might even come in handy when telling yuor neighbor that his doggs are louder than your band. Simple controls, battery powered, portable, and more useful than what the title "Sound Pressure Level Meter" may tell you. And...it just might be the one thing you need to "fix" a bad space, or at least put your finger on it...or better your ear.
