Radiant Maple Hollowbody Resonance

Your Gretsch G519BK features a vibrant and warm maple hollowbody. Maple is a popular wood for bodies because of its snappy and bright character. Your tones will come through with consistency and clarity -- perfect for those Armstrong-style aggressive and quick strumming patterns. This axe's single-cutaway shape rests comfortably against your body, making moving around on stage a breeze.

One-piece Maple Neck

Spanning the length of 22 jumbo frets is your hollowbody's bright and comfy maple neck. This appendage features a smooth rosewood fingerboard that's inviting to the touch, and a respectable action allows you to play expediently for snappy leads and gripping licks. The zero fret on this axe leaves room for a wider range of string gauge choices, and provides a more consistently fretted sound to your open notes.

Two "Black Top" Filter'Tron Humbucking Pickups

Gretsch Tim Armstrong Electro Lefty

Punk rock war-lord, Tim Armstrong makes no apologies that the music radiating from his soul at times can be loud & ferocious. His guitar tone alone has become as infamous as his world renown persona. Gretsch is proud to introduce the G5191BK Tim Armstrong Signature Electromatic hollow body guitar. A big sound resonates from the parallel tone bars and sound post mounted under the top of the 17" wide body, which has a harp tailpiece and a pair of "Black Top" Filter'Tron pickups for maximum sustain and tuning stability. Grover tuners, big block fretboard inlays and gold-plated hardware set against the ominous flat black urethane finish are a recipe to incite your senses to euphoria. This version of the Tim Armstrong G5191BK is built for left-handed players like Tim himself.

"Beautiful Instrument - Lightening Fast Shipping"

I purchased this guitar for my son for Christmas. Finding high-quality left handed guitars can be a challenge so we jumped at this one. The instrument arrived in prstine condition. The photos really don't do it justice. The only thing better than the appearance of this guitar is the sound quality. I don'd know how you guys did it, but the guitar arrived two days earlier than expected, giving me plenty of time to inspect it and wrap it in time for Christmas. The matte black finish is what my son would refer to as "dope" :-) Thanks for a great experience and a great instrument!
