"Not reccomended for the"

Feature:
The headphones are alright, i wouldnt use them for listening to music aside from the turntables, but they provide decent bass and get the job done for a beginner. Doesnt have a light to help with pitch adjustment for 45s. No equilizer on the mixer which makes some more advancent elements of mixing impossible.

Quality:
The decks are made out of plastic. Not terribly appealing visually as far as turntables go. I havent had any problems with mine so far though, had them about half a year. Dont expect them to leave your room though, these CAN NOT be used for high-vibration environments (loud bass, people jumping around,) the needle skips just from somone slamming a door downstairs. Pitch control isnt even in-tune on mine.

Value:
These turntables are pretty much only going to be good for listening to records or light mixing. I only got them because i was unsure of my commitment to the craft but now i realilize i'm most likely going to make a lifestyle out of this. Optimally, you should try/borrow someone else's turntables for this sort of thing, if you cant, then you can get this or get a (better) single turntable and a mixer, and use that for scratching and beatmatch/mix with your cd/mp3 collection.

Desirability:
May look like a tempting buy being so cheap, but as always, cheap for a reason.

Sound:
Sound quality is mediocre (this is mainly from the mixer) wont sound bad to the untrained ear but audiophiles will know these are not great sound quality. Also, the strobe on mine does not change for 45s, so there is no way except by ear to tell if the record is being played at the right speed when listening to 7-inches.

Ease of Use:
Setup is fine, playing and listening to LPs/12inches is fine, but when you begin to move the record with your hand, whether finding a beat or attempting to scratch, the needle will skip and the the platter will slow down or stop completely (bad for the belt). It will be impossible to scratch a sample with the default needles (even with the full weight applied), and even if you get new ones, the torque is too weak to have a good enough takeoff to scratch well. The pitch control is much too small to make the necessary adjustments for good beatmatching and mixing, you can get the speed of two records pretty close but they will fall apart after a minute tops.

Support:
Never needed support.

Overall:
Not the worst things to eve grace the DJ realm, but not even close to acceptable for someone who is more than just unsure about DJing. Really try and find someone else with turntables, and ask to borrow them or try them out to see if you're going to be going into DJing. I used these to practice beatmatching but now that i know i want to DJ i will be getting a used pair of Technic 1200s (industry standard) and a mixer with an equilizer
