I purchased these headphones to use in my mobile djing business and my web show. I looked around for quite a while to find a set of cans that would work for what I needed, without breaking the bank, and I finally settled on the DJX05s. I've used them for a few weeks now, and I am very impressed with the quality of sound for the price. Just to be clear, these are not top-of-the-line headphones. Audiophiles will probably want something a little higher end, but these work great for people like me that just need to hear what they're doing for balance purposes. For a $30 set of phones, the sound quality in these is commendable. The highs don't sound tinny, the midrange is strong, and the lows bump without being overpowering or muddy. I was also very happy with the cable that came with them. There are about 3 feet of straight cable from the point the cable attaches to the cans, then a coiled section about 18" long. It's very convenient to have the coiled section away from the cans so that it doesn't get in the way. Comfort is good overall, but I've noticed that when you wear them for an extended period of time the padding for the top of your head doesn't cut it. Your head starts to ache if you don't move the brace around during performances. The cups, however, are very comfortable. Construction is plastic, so I'm not sure how long they will last. Overall, though, there's no better bang for your buck in the low end than these headphones.
