"CD-200 vs CDX-02"
Sound: Great sound when playing; makes noise on cue up. Feature: Awesome for the price. Ease of Use: Easy. Quality: For $200 it's great. Value: Better than anything else at this price point. Manufacturer Support: Gemini has been excellent most of the time, however I think they have a few unmotivated employees in their shipping dept. Overall: I have a CDX-02 as well. The CD-200 will read CDs that the CDX-02 will not. The CDX-02 performs better: faster cue times and starts; better hardware, etc. but the CD-200 will play just about any CD you put in it.

"You Get What You Pay For"
Sound: Very noisy player, you can hear sounds of the PA when the laser is moving inside of it. Loud pops when the player stops at the end of a track. Feature: Good features, it will stop at the end of each track, good time display, shows remaining time, remembers settings even after ejecting disc and inserting a new one. Like the blinking Play lights, easily shows which is paused. Good features that you'd expect. Also a bar display showing how much remains / or has been played of a song. Ease of Use: Large buttons, large display. Buttons sometimes need to be pressed hard to actually respond. Display is easy to read, shows important information. Quality: Player seems solid but some thing's worry me. I lightly bumped one of the pitch faders and it fell off, now it won't even go back on the player, it should easily snap in or something, but there's no way, it won't go back on. Rotary Wheels seem kind of loose, not solid. And the thing that gets me the most is that they don't use flathead screws on the tops and bottoms of each unit, it will NOT fit into a 4 space rack due to the screws sticking out from the top and bottom. It's useless when trying to save space in a rack, if you have a 6U rack for example, you'll only have 5 usable spaces, what a stupid design. Still wondering why I can hear mechanical noise through the output of this thing, makes the player seem really cheap and worries me that it will just give out sometime. I want to replace this as fast as I can. Seemed to work well once outdoors in slighty cold weather, lots of condensation, that I am happy for. Value: Yeah, I know why it's so cheap. You get what you pay for. Manufacturer Support: I e-mailed them once with a question, months ago, still no response, I assume their support is useless. The Wow Factor: Nothing special about this. I don't want it. Overall: I'm not satisfied with this now. I only have it because I paid a bit of money for it and I need something to play CD's. I want something that feels more reliable and designed properly.
