I bought this because I love SG's and I have 7 different models and wanted a 2015 to go with them, And because I got it for a steal as a "Blem" from zZounds. As far as the blem goes, All I can see is a real slight imperfection in the clearcoat that will probably buff out. The wider neck takes a little getting used too, Sure, It's easy to say "I hate it" if you just pick one up and play it for a few minutes. I found after playing it for 30 minutes straight, I barley noticed it. This one I got has absolutely NO fret buzz anywhere and that was hard for me to believe since I have bought new 3-4k Gibsons that need work to get rid of the buzz. This budget model has none. Intonation and action are perfect too. Maybe I just got lucky. I'm not a fan of the G-Force tuning but I can live with it (I have 50 other guitars without it) The neck on this is fabulous once you get used to the width. It is really only noticeable when you get up to the higher frets (Over 12th) I have BIG hands and fingers so it does not bother me. The tone on this IS brighter, I think because of the brass nut, But that can be dialed in to however I like with my amp settings and tone on the guitar. Overall, I like it! And for the price I paid, I LOVE IT! (Thanks zZound's!) The case is incredible, The neck is very nice with zero buzz and low action, Intonation is perfect, Finish is nice, Pickups are nice, Sounds good, Plays good. For all the crying I have heard about these I must say I was surprised. Sure, I think read more that the older Gibsons are better (If it's not broke, Don't try to fix it) But this is by no means a crappy guitar. I plan on keeping it and playing it. It's not bad at all.
