Gibson's new baked maple fingerboards have the tactile feel and response of ebony, but with a very traditional warm, brown finish. They're extremely stable, fast and smooth.

"my first love"
Overall: I learnsd to play on a old silvertone guitar. When I purchased I learned that I was more than a beginner. I was a teen when I purchased this guitar new for $180.00 andhave had it ever since. The sound is great. The ease of moving up and down the neckis like a smooth ride in a expensive car.
