Manufacturer's Description for Gibson Historic SG Custom Reissue Electric Guitar with Maestro (with Case)

The SG Custom replaced the single cutaway Les Paul Custom in 1961. With three "Patent Applied For" humbuckers, gold hardware, multiple binding, and an ebony fretboard to go along with the new thinline body, the SG Custom maintained the standard of elegance set by the original Les Paul Custom. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Gibson products.

Ease of Use: There is a slight learning curve. Quality: The hardest part to accept is that it will get dinged. Manufacturer Support: This is an assumption as I never had a problem of any type.

"honest sg for the buck"
Sound: the sound is great, the only ploblem is the tremalo bar tends to set loosely in the tail. also loses tune faster than i think it should. Feature: standard everything, nice doccumentations with case and guitar, making on headstock, but just great, standard sg equip. Ease of Use: its like the guitar can read your soul. for me, the fret hight and spacing is perfect, it is very light for a solidbody, and the neck in widerer not too wide, and thin. Quality: no problems, but for almost 3 grand it better be right Value: a great value if it is what you like, or just to collect. plays as well as it looks! Manufacturer Support: none The Wow Factor: i have 6 guitars in my collection that are about the same in appeal to me. the others are a true '61 sg, a '79 iceman, replica rhandy rhodes flying v, a '67 strat, this guitar, but my altime favorit would be my ibanez DMM1 daron malakian limited edition iceman with custom graphix by none other than vartan malakian. Overall: im a collector and avid musicain, wouldnt play on stage, but nice to plink with.
