After playing for 40+ years, this is my first SG. It has to be the cheapest Gibson ever built, but WOW, what a sound! Play it thru a decent tube amp and it'll bring tears to your eyes! It may be inexpensive, but the Gibson genes are still in there.Pros:P90 pickups - Think Pete at Leed's ... it doesn't get much betterLight weightGood action, excellent fretworkSimplicityMin-ETune system - NOT just a gimmick ... it works!Cons:Finish - It looks like the black paint on this guitar was hosed on with rattle cans. Not your typical Gibson finish, but that's why its so cheap. At adds to the charm, too. This is a good guitar to take to gigs in the bad part of town, or to ram through your speaker cab as a finale. Or just use it to pick n grin. Get one ... it's fun!
