This is got to be one of the most amazing guitars I have ever laid my hands on! Back when I was playing professionally in the late 70s and early 80s, I own a 1963 Gibson SG, and this guitar is comparable to that one if not better. The action is amazing, the set up was spot on, the finish on the guitar is perfect and flawless. All the way down to the binding on the Flipboard every detail is carefully executed. The tuning system has taken some time to get used to, especially on a string change, but the more I play with it, the more I like it. The system is equipped with many presets and tuning's, and is also customizable where you can program any tuning that you want and save it. Therefore you can change tunings at the press of a few buttons. The Guitar stays in tune incredibly well, and the sustain is almost in definite. I think the titanium nut is an amazing piece of technology, that improves the guitar dramatically. Pick up or Chris at lower volumes, and nice and crunchy at higher volumes. I think the weight of the tuning system which is located on the back of the headstock causes some additional head dive problems, which the SG is pretty famous for anyway. The only modification that I have made to the guitar is to install strap locks, because everything else is already detailed it out to the max! I think that Gibson has hit an absolute homerun with this guitar, and I fully anticipate keeping it for the rest of my life. Even the case is designed to last forever, being completely read more aluminum, it's almost too gorgeous to kick around, and I can see how it is ultimately protective of the guitar. For the money, I would recommend this guitar and down over many others on the same price level. Thank you Gibson! You have playing guitar a blast, like always!
