This is my 4th guitar and I've always wanted a nice Gibson. I went to a couple of shops to test this model and really liked the punch it puts out. Sounds amazing with deep balanced tones. I also have a Fender Hell Cat, Taylor Big Baby and PRS S2 Custom 24 that I own. I was disappointed in the finish of this Gibson because the neck has a small section of coating that was missed and the corners of the fret board are still rough from when the frets were filed down. Maybe i'm being a little nit picky to mention this but my cheaper guitars didn't have that going on at all and seems i spent 4 times more on the Gibson so i would expect a little better quality control. Another downer is that none of the guitar straps i use will fit this model and when i force a strap in place it blocks the cutaway so i can't really play in the high part of the neck. Still, it's a nice axe and i love to play it so far. Feels smooth on the neck and the neck size feels like an electric instead of an acoustic guitar. Fits snug against my body as i play so i have better control over movement then my other acoustics. Haven't plugged it in yet so might update this review later. All though the finish isn't great i still recommend due to the quality of the sound. "Punchy and dark".
