Objectively: I purchased this unit specifically to track my new album. Every single reason for doing so in theory is proving to be successful in action. The G Force tuning works perfectly & precisely going from standard to Drop C & back reliably. Both mysrlf & my tech took time to read all of the instructional documentation. The pick ups, (in particular bridge,) have feirce bark. My unit weighs exactly 9 lbs. & seems just right for extended standing playing. The high gloss nitro Ebony color is remarkably handsome, & the chromed hardware compliments it very smartly. The titanium nut is a marvel, though the metal on metal, string on nut requires specific lubrication. The matte black pickguard, chrome truss cover with etching, chrome knobs/keys, pickup covers & rings, wider soloist neck/board, (the rosewood has the best feel of any I've owned,) lack of bindings & sculpted soloist heel are all fantastic details, but thre sum total is even greater than the ondividual parts. You can't specifically quantify it but, this unit just felt personalized to mr ftom the moment I opened it's luxuriously slick aluminum case. The only reason thid is not perfectly 5 stars is gor the time needed to learn to use the G Force correctly. Subjectively: I'm among those who embraces technology & values the prestige Gibson. The price performance ratio is great on paper, in your hands this unit exudes power, sex & real black magic. It's the kind of guitar you find yourself dreaming & daydreaming about read more whrn you're not playing it. I'm in love with mine & you'll be able to hear it roar on SM - 'Plessure to Burn' in December.
