Sure, this is an odd mix of parts and pieces for Gibby LP traditionalists. However, being a Strat guy, that didn't put me off. I had no preconceptions, no biases about what an LP is supposed to be. Thank goodness. This thing is a monster! And at a third of what "real" LPs sell for. Mine came outta the box with a decent setup and spot-on intonation. The workmanship on mine looks and feels top-shelf. The only thing I changed was the chrome Tele-looking dome knobs to Gibson speed knobs because I prefer them aesthetically. (The pot shafts are U.S. fine-spline-sized CTS btw if you want to do the same, and available at StewMac.)My only complaint is that she induced a severe case of Gibson Les Paul GAS, an affliction that will soon have me living under the freeway pushing around a shopping cart full of guitars. Buy one--- at $112 a month, what've you got to lose? See you under the bridge.
