The Explorer begins with a mahogany body cut to the angular profile of this trend-setting axe. The glued-in neck is carved to the fast, slim profile that so many rockers love, with a one-piece rosewood fingerboard with acrylic split diamond inlays. The traditional angled six-a-side headstock has a mother-of-pearl Gibson logo.

The Gibson "Dirty Fingers" humbucker is an accurate replica of the famous super-hot humbucker introduced by Gibson in the 1970s. Appropriately named, the Gibson "Dirty Fingers" pickup is manufactured with three powerful ceramic magnets to produce massive output for maximum in-your-face output without compromising the original tone of your guitar in any way.

The Dirty Fingers also features shielded, four-conductor wiring for series, parallel or split coil operation, and is fully wax potted to eliminate any chance of microphonic feedback.
