The Gibson RD Artist brings the RD series back into the limelight, with its unconventional design & active pickups combining with all the hallmarks of classic Gibson design. The RD Artist features an Alpine white finish, accented with black fittings and gold hardware. A 100% mahogany body and neck gives a solid feel and warm tone profile, and the rosewood fingerboard is lightning fast. A true Gibson for modern playing styles, the RD Artist is equipped with Gibson GEM active pickups, which merge the classic PAF style design with modern active performance. This gives the GEMs a greatly improved output and extremely low noise performance. They still have the warmth and smoothness of classic humbuckers, but with more articulation and immense power.

This has eye popping great looks. It played perfectly out of the box and I used it at show within days of receipt. The sound is awesome n a variety of material and is not limed to hard rock or metal. It is a bid heavy but the total package is a winner.
