GHS M3045F Flea Signature Bass Boomers Electric Bass Strings (45-105)

No longer available at zZounds
These classic medium-gauge, formulated bass strings are nickel-plated over a hex core and have been Flea's chosen strings for decades.

Awesome bass tone starts with awesome bass strings. Now you can choose the same strings as Flea. Using nickel-plated steel over hex core with nickel and stainless steel underwind, the Flea signature set is the classic formula that he has relied on over the years. Tried and true. Rock bottom solid.

Medium gauge, 45-105.

If you like GHS bass boomers 45-105 and these are a little cheaper, or the same price, there's no reason not to buy them. Don't spend extra money because they are the "Flea edition". It's the same string. That being said, I absolutley LOVE boomers, and I hate playing on anything except GHS 45-105 whether they are the Flea or the regular ones. I've played every major brand out there, and I can honestly say there is a reason that GHS is a standard in the industry. They make the best sounding, longest lasting, smoothest playing strings I've ever used. Gauge is up to you, I prefer the 45-105 for what I do (classic rock to metal) but if you're downtuning you might want something heavier. Stick with GHS though, they make the best.
