I tune my electric guitar to drop c and i always use GHS boomers 10-48 gauge strings. One problem has always been that the low e string has felt and sounded a little flabby so i bought these GHS HGBC thick core strings in same gauge 10-48 and the flabby feel and sound vanished. it tightened up the sound and the feel instantly.
