Stack harmonies and create rich, full-bodied riffs. Shape your sound with this bass effect pedal's 3 voices of harmony, noise gate, overdrive and tone knob.

The Fishman Fission Bass pedal lets any bassist lay down beds of power by adding stacked harmonies over their bass lines. Through an intuitive set of controls and footswitches, several combinations of octaves, 4th and 5th above the root note combine to produce powerchords or octave-up effects. The four footswitch LEDs give you visible indication of the selected harmony. When the effect is off, the LEDs dim making it easy to set up a harmony before you kick on the chord. It's also a multi-effect pedal with up to 3 voices of harmony, adjustable noise gate, overdrive, tone and effect level. This power-effect combo gives you creative control over anything from subtle octaves to thick, grinding effects that even your guitar player will envy.

Housed in a lightweight, yet sturdy metal enclosure, the Fishman Fission Bass uses state-of-the-art 32-bit signal processing and 24-bit audio conversion. Its monophonic input accepts a wide range of pickups. The mix output is perfect for single amp operation and an effect-only output for feeding a dedicated guitar amp.

I couldn't tell you how much my 3-piece band relys on this pedal, it truly is my secret weapon! Many people don't expect such a "big" sound from a 3-Piece band, and most sound guys seem confused when they see my pedal board running to a bass amp AND a guitar amp. It's also a kick to see people's reaction when I tell them "I play bass and rhythm guitar... At the same time".Disclaimer:It doesn't sound EXACTLY like a guitar, and not everything will sound "ideal" coming through it, you may need to simplify some parts (Particularly if you're playing chords) In my experience I've found that (if using the effect signal with a guitar amp) It's best to run the amp in a clean channel and use the pedal's overdrive than to run the pedal clean and use the amp's distortion (you'll get a cleaner, more consistant signal that way). You'll get an even better sound if you shut off the pedal's overdrive, run the amp in clean channel, and use a dedicated distortion/fuzz/overdrive/whatever-floats-your-boat pedal and the sound will truly be optimally crisp. Just take your time and play around with it!I highly recommend it, but shhh, it's our secret!
