I love the design of this dock. My ipad mini slides right in with no problem and looks great in this dock. I use this dock with Cubasis for recording my pop punk rock demos. It functions as advertised with no problems. The one thing I didn't like was the price. It's kind of expensive for a 2 channel interface. As far as wishing for additional features I wish they made this with 4 mic pres. Finally, I wanted to give you my personal experience when recording with a 1st Gen iPad Mini…My Mini is so old I can only run 1 guitar plugin at a time. I tried running the Mini with an Orange Amps plugin and Positive Grid plugin on two separate guitar tracks and my Mini couldn't handle it. The Mini would freeze up and Cubasis would shut down. One plugin did run fine but since I am going to make iPad my recording rig I need to upgrade my ipad. With that being said I am going to go with the iPad Mini 4 since it comes with 4 GB of RAM and has the fastest CPU speed out of all the Minis. I'm sticking with the Mini b/c the dock was made for the Mini. If you place an iPad or iPad Air on it, the iPad over extends in height beyond the interface and it looks funny.
