Fender from time to time has put out some substandard stuff, along with some really beautiful stuff that was heavy. This strikes the balance perfectly and is by far the nicest case I've purchased in over 45 years of playing. Lightweight but solid, secure fit but not too tight, great latches which I think are nicer then the ones on a comparable SKB case (not to slight SKB - they make great cases, these are just really nice latches. Worth every penny.
