The original 5E5A circuit powering the '57 Custom Pro-Amp is renowned for its tonal flexibility, making this an excellent amp for players of any genre.

At long last, Fender has finally reissued the loudest of its original amplifiers. Introducing the Fender '57 Custom Pro-Amp guitar combo amplifier -- a modern reconstruction of the 1950s narrow-panel tweed Twin amplifier, one of three original amplifiers offered by Leo Fender when he founded the company in 1946. While Fender has been reissuing vintage amplifiers through its line of '57 Custom amps since the early 2000s, this is the first time a faithful tribute to the original Pro-Amp has been made available.

The Original Fender Amp

With the '57 Custom Pro, Fender has painstakingly recreated one of the original guitar amplifiers. Loud and proud, the '57 Custom Pro is powerful enough to fill any stage, yet soft and delicate when dialed down. I bought this amp January, 2017. Gigged with it a week later. The amp sounded great! Cool thing was, another band played after us. Their guitar player used the 57. I could sit back and listen. Sweet! Now, a year later, gigged with it Last night. I jumped the two channels and ran both at 3. More than enough volume. I wanted to turn up but I knew it would have been way too loud. Kind of a small bar. Can't wait to play outside with it. So, if you can afford it, you will not be disappointed with this amp. But, from now on, I'll be using my 65 Deluxe Reverb for smaller indoor gigs. I've been using a Gibson Les Paul Elegant and playing mostly classic rock. A little country. Using a Tim overdrive and a Strymon Flint. I guess if there is any negative thing to say, it would only be that it has no reverb. Before buying Fender equipment, I was using a Marshall 62 reissue Bluesbreaker, then the Mesa Mark V. After buying the 65 Deluxe, I was hooked on Fender! The 57 Custom Deluxe is my next objective!
